Introduction & focus areas
- Check that the energy meter is properly connected to the RC (Rogowski Coil) before setting the energy meter.
- The red chip / S1 of the coil must be connected to the + terminal of the energy meter.
- The black chip / S2 of the coil must be connected to the - terminal of the energy meter.
If connected incorrectly, there is the possibility that the current will be measured incorrectly. For example, if you connect the black wire to the positive terminal of the energy meter.
You can set the meter using the following buttons:
Selects the Voltage and Current displays. In setup mode, this is the “Left” or “Back” button.
Selects the display screens for Frequency and Power Factor. In Setup mode, this is the Up button.
Selects the power supply displays. In setup mode, this is the “Down” button.
Selects the energy displays. In setup mode, this is the “Enter” or “Right” button.

Setup
To enter setup mode, press
for 3 seconds. You will then be prompted to enter a password.
You must enter the password before you can edit the settings.
If the password is incorrect, the following appears on the screen: PASS Err

Rogowski Coils Primary Current Input
The SDM630MCT-RC works directly with Rogowski coils without an integrator. The ratio of connected Rogowski coils should be 85mV/kA as standard.
The primary current ranges from 1A to 5000A. The unit has 3 selectable current scales:
- For a primary current lower than 500A, CT1 (primary) should be set to 0.5kA.
- With a primary current of 500A to 1000A, CT1 should be set to 1kA.
- With a primary current of 1000A to 5000A, CT1 should be set to 5kA.
The CT setting of the meter must be set according to the Rogowski coil used. To find the correct CT1 setting, you can use the following table
