Motion Detectors
A first application used by La Sapinière is motion detection. The sensors installed for this purpose can be enabled to detect intrusions. Thanks to a customizable alarm system, notifications can be generated in our software in case of unusual movement. As a result, the proper authorities are swiftly notified and can intervene without delay.
The resort, however, is taking it a step further: it has the ability to link measurements from motion detectors to other smart applications.
Smart heating
At La Sapinière, for example, our software can help control the heating in the vacation homes. Thanks to a link to the motion detectors, prolonged absences can easily be registered. After a few hours of absence, the (electric) heating is automatically set to a lower setting to avoid wasting energy. The system helps reduce the energy expenditure for the park and its guests by linking information from various sensors together in our portal.
In addition, a possible link to the park's reservation system ensures a warm welcome. Thanks to integration with the Calculus software, the heating is automatically turned on shortly before the arrival of new guests to heat up to 21 degrees. An extra service that is especially appreciated by many guests in winter, without burdening park staff with additional tasks. At the end of the stay, the thermostat is also automatically reset to 6 degrees if no new guests are expected.
The system can be overwritten at any time from the user-friendly portal wherein all measurements are accrued and are visualized. The temperature can be remotely adjusted at the touch of a button.
Energy monitoring.
Our smart applications also make it possible to measure exact energy consumption and its distribution. Total consumption and consumption per zone or appliance is clearly displayed in the Calculus portal, making it easy to analyze large consumers and to identify opportunities to become more sustainable. Glaring energy waste can also be detected and addressed.
Furthermore, energy monitoring offers the possibility of billing energy consumption precisely per vacation rental and period of stay. Every fifteen minutes, meter readings are read by advanced sensors for this purpose. At the end of the stay, the exact consumption is transmitted to the park's billing software. When guests check out, they therefore receive an exact bill for the energy they consumed. This benefits not only the vacation park, which can make a precise calculation and gain insights into energy consumption, but also the park's visitors themselves.
Smoke Detection
Finally, our IoT systems help guarantee safety in the park. Thanks to smoke detectors linked to our software, park employees are quickly notified in the event of smoke. The smoke detection systems are an additional way of checking whether the house rules are respected in the vacation homes. After all, smoking is not allowed there.
